Final project for Interactive Studio, Winter Semester 2010. We were assigned to use Arduino boards and Processing to code together a piece using different sensor types. Our project mimics a sundial using photocells to sense the shadow over it that correlates with the numbers 1-12 as if on a clock. Each number has an array of images of people in different chronological stages of life. (1-infants, 2-toddlers, 3-children, etc.) When the dial is rotated backwards, a different single image is displayed of the broken doll in black & white. This was to symbolize many things, including the fragility of life.
